If you are making enough money per year that you are going to have to pay more into healthcare under the bill that was passed yesterday, I'll gladly trade places with you..cuz if that's the case, you are bringing in roughly 6 times what I make..and I bring in $40,000 per year. Now if you aren't bringing in that kind of income, you have no reason to complain cuz you'll benefit from this and actually have someone else's hard earned money subsidizing part of you and your family's healthcare in the long run. Guess I didn't realize how many folks around here bring in a cool quarter mil per year. Where was all this "Backwoods B!tchin'" when Lil' Bush was raping the country and putting us in the position we are in now?

i *****ed as much with bush as ever. what you are missing, is that we need to give people more opportunities to help themselves instead of just giving handouts. thats where im going. you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.

I pointed out that around here most of those druggies are using drugs supplied to them directly or indirectly by local doctors who are paid by already existing government programs and that the working poor were the ones being shafted not only at the grocery store but also at the doctors office. In other words you were paying for their pills even before last night, but the lady who was waiting on you at the grocery store was doing without insurance because her job doesn't supply it and she makes far too little to buy it.
gotcha, we are on the right page, i just read what you said wrong. was in a hurry going to work.

and another thing, who said anything about the bill? i was talking about these people getting free healthcare that pretty much supports their drug habit. i can see you are leaning to the left apparently because i didnt even make mention of a healthcare bill. hell the only problem i have with it is that they are going to force people to get insurance and some people already cant afford to live as it is.

They will be offered subsidies if they can't afford it.

Seeing as we're feeling the effects of it today, what is there not to harp about?

Well, if you'll read between the lines, this goes a long way to ensure that you don't have to pay for those folks "free healthcare" anymore..cuz now you'll have folks essentially paying for a good deal of yours...cuz if you are having a hard time "affording to live as it is" you are one of the millions the subsidies the government is providing is intended to help. Common sense tells you though that if you made a post over this past weekend concerning healthcare that it would be construed as a post concerning the bill as well. The thing that gets me is this:.In this area you have the majority who complain about aid that goes to families. But the same folks will live in government subsidized housing, spend food stamps, use WIC benefits, collect unemployment benefits, accept heating assistance, and go to the ER with no insurance and accept having it written off as "Charity". If the folks with this view want to refrain from being hypocrites, they wouldn't accept ANY of those things, cuz then they are either accepting taxpayer dollars to pay THEIR bills or allowing someone else to pay their bills. Sad thing is, most are too ignorant to know the difference.

Till we start stopping the growth of families on asst., we will never curb the problem. I don't mind helping people that can't get by, but when their kids out-number the ones in working households- we will never be able to pay enough. Education reform would help, but if there are no jobs, then training or a degree would be better spent on food.
